It’s the beginning of the month and time for a first look at home sales for March in Coralville IA.

16 homes sold in March 2010 and coincidentally 16 sold in March 2009 too. In February home sales were up a bit, this month we’re even with last year. Not bad considering home sales have been flat in Coralville compared to Iowa City and North Liberty in recent months.
The median price of homes sold in March was $217,900 compared to $206,750 last year. With an average of 125 days on market.
Buying or selling a home in Coralville, we have an interesting market right now. It will be even more interesting to watch what happens when the deadline for the home buyer tax credit passes. That’s not too far off either, with a deadline of April 30 for an accepted offer.
I’m all for getting information out there, so check back frequently to see what’s going on in the Coralville real estate market. The more you know before you buy or sell a home, the better shape you’ll be in when it comes to either listing a home for sale or making an offer on a home that’s currently on the market.
