14 homes sold in Coralville so far in September. The number of homes sold in all of September 2011 was 20. There are 6 days left to match that number from last year, I’d say the odds are good of that happening since many closings happen on the last day of the month. 164 homes are currently listed on the Iowa City MLS showing as active and 15 homes are contingent or sale pending.
The absorption rate is up from 5.8 months in August to 6 months, that’s an average of 182 days on market. The fact that the absorption rate is staying relatively stable around 6 months is a good sign for the Coralville real estate market.
